Wave Breaker
TheWave Breaker is aspecial weapon inSplatoon 3. It is a device that releases up to three expanding shock waves that damage andtrack opponents that touch them.
Appearance
The Wave Breaker consists of a conical device resembling a pop-and-catch toy. The sphere rests in an indentation in the cone and is connected to it via a wire. After being thrown, the sphere will start bouncing up and down, releasing circular shock waves of black squids.

When activated, the user will hold the Wave Breaker above their head, which can then be thrown with. It can be held for an unlimited amount of time. Once the device lands, itmarks nearby opposing players for less than a second. Right afterwards, the sphere starts bouncing up and down, releasing three total waves before breaking. The first wave appears after 1.5 seconds of the device being placed and the other two waves appear 2.5 seconds after the previous one. These shock waves expand and travel 20 units outward over the span of about 2.67 seconds. They follow the ground and go through walls and barriers, such asBig Bubbler.
Opponents that come into contact with a shock wave are dealt 45.0 damage and marked for 8 seconds. However, shock waves can be avoided by jumping over them, and opponents can only be hurt by each shock wave once. Opponents can also be dealt 30.0 damage if they come into contact with a Wave Breaker. The device can be broken early if opponents deal 480.0 damage to it, but there are certain multipliers depending on the weapon used. It can also be crushed by moving platforms such as the tower inTower Control or the rotating platforms onMuseum d'Alfonsino.
This special is one of the nine available specials inSalmon Run Next Wave.

Special Power Up

Equipping Special Power Up with Wave Breaker increases the travel distance of its shock waves to up to 27 units, but doesn't increase their travel speed.
