About me

I'm TomLegend101, a 23-year-old British gaming nerd who just so happens to be a bigSplatoon nerd as well. I've also been apatroller on this very site as of12 October 2025!

I've been playing theSplatoon games since June 2015, however I stopped playing thefirst game for roughly 10.5 months until mid-2016, shortly before theCallie vs. MarieSplatfest was announced. Even though I still respected the game and enjoyed watching GMOD animations, the lack of enough content at launch greatly hurt my replay value of it then. Plus I kept up getting distracted byMario Kart 8,SSB4, andSuper Mario Maker to be able to invest enough time intoSplatoon.

Once I returned, however, I was unstoppable.Splatoon quickly grew into one of my favourite video games, and that love only grew even further onceSplatoon 2 released in July 2017, which eventually became my 3rd-favourite video game of all-time! I sunk just over 1,000 hours into it and made most of the Splatfests sound like a huge event to my family & friends. I also began posting loads of clips onto myTwitter account, which was how I was able to meet dozens of people I now consider to be great friends of mine. During this time I was even lucky enough to attend theUK Championship 2018 Grand Final at MCM Comic Con, largely in thanks to winning a weekend priority ticket from the one & only ThatSrb2DUDE, and then he gave me three more on top of that!

And of course, my love forSplatoon 2 kept going onceSplatoon 3 released in September 2022, and I somehow hit the 2,000-hour mark in February 2025 (little life tip: don't sink that much time into one game)! Throughout the next year after release, I additionally began making some clip montages for myYouTube channel, although I probably would've made a few more if it wasn't for both me being busy with my final year of Uni and some technical difficulties. Despite this, my biggest & favourite montage of mine at the time, that being theSplatoon 3 One-Year Anniversary Montage, garnered a nomination for "Montage of the Year" in theSplatoon Community Awards 2024!^[1] And to top it all off, I got to attend & compete atBreeze 2023, and it truly felt like I'd finally found the gaming community I fully belonged in.

And with that, I think I've rambled on about myself long enough. Throughout the rest of my userpage, I've detailed various statistics about tournaments I've competed in, as well as every little detail about all the Splatfests I played in. I also have asandbox too, though I dunno how active that'll be.
