Appearance
The Tri-Shred Tee resembles a badly-damagedTri-Squid Tee, whose white color has turned tan, and whose logo has turned from black to white. The collar, right sleeve and right side of the hem are torn, giving the shirt an asymmetrical shape.

The Tri-Shred Tee was first revealed in the announcement trailer forSplatoon 3 on17 February 2021. Its name was revealed in theSplatoon 3 Direct.
This piece of gear was available in theSplatoon 3 Splatfest World Premiere.
Along with theCephalo Pods andForce ReBoots, the Tri-Shred Tee is part of the starting outfit for new players.
After aSplatfest, the Tri-Shred Tee will be automatically equipped, likely due to being the only clothing gear item that every player is guaranteed to own.
Abilities
The Tri-Shred Tee comes withQuick Respawn as the primaryability when purchased from a shop or ordered fromMurch. When purchased fromSplatNet 3, it comes with any other primary ability normally available to Clothing (with the exception of Ability Doubler). As a 0-star item, the Tri-Shred Tee comes with one additional slot for secondaryabilities. The star level may be increased withSuper Sea Snails for 1 (first), 1 (second), 5 (third), 10 (fourth), or 20 (fifth) Super Sea Snails per star, or by purchasing additional copies of it from Man-o'-Wardrobe for 10,000 (first), 30,000 (second), 50,000 (third), 100,000 (fourth), or 200,000 (fifth) Cash per star. Increasing the star level to 1 or 2 stars will add a secondary ability slot per level, up to a maximum of three slots. Increasing the star level beyond 2 stars will increase the gear experience gained by a cumulative 3.333…% up to 10% additional experience at 5-star level. Sinceit is made by theSquidForcegear brand, it has a higher chance of rollingInk Resistance Up and a lower chance of rollingInk Saver (Main) to fill its secondary ability slots.
