The Chronicles of Rolonium is a multiplayerstage inSplatoon 2. It was the twenty-second variation ofShifty Station, and first appeared in theCe League vs. Pa League andTime Travel vs. TeleportationSplatfests. It returned in theChaos vs. Order andSuper Mushroom vs. Super Star Splatfests. As of version5.0.0, it is exclusively available inPrivate Battles. It features bundles ofRolonium that roll across hills and can splat players in two hits.

Layout

Players spawn on opposite sides on hills. In front of the spawn point are four Rolonium bundles. Three of them can only be used once while the one farthest to the right can be used multiple times. Down is an open area that ramps up to the spawn area. To the right is Rolonium Bundle that points toward the middle. Toward the left of the open area is an entire grated area with a Rolonium Bundle that can also be used multiple times. Towards the upper middle is a Rolonium Bundle that reloads and can be used to launch the Rolonium into the other team's base. To the left is an open area that leads down to a Rolonium that travels through the corridor.

Etymology

The Chronicles of Rolonium is named afterThe Chronicles of Narnia, a series of novels byC. S. Lewis. The name refers to the bundles ofRolonium found around the stage.
