TheTenya OctoPurps are a pair ofshoes inSplatoon 3.
They are a 2-star item produced byTentatek and come with the primaryabilitySpecial Saver.They must first be unlocked through leveling up theSizzle Season 2023catalog to level 43, then they can be purchased fromCrush Station for
7,980. They can only be ordered from another player after being unlocked.
Appearance
The Tenya OctoPurps are a pair of large thick purple basketball shoes. The trainers are mostly made of a dark-purple suede material and wrapped around with two large black straps attached to the midsole, encompassing the shoe's whole width. There is also a third strap, which is much smaller and attached to the tongue's inner side and leaping over it. It also has a Tentatek writing engraved on it. The collar consists of a pad featuring yet another strap with a black buckle baring a number 8. Unlike the other three, it has an adhesive toggle. The collar is rounded on the ends and appears to be bound with the tongue via a yellow foam, which acts as an insole and a frame for the collar. A golden heel tab is also present, supporting the wearer's calves. The outer sides possess some golden graffiti, possibly a signature. The soles are black and fitted into a smooth yellow midsole. On the tongue of the shoe a white Tentatek logo is shown.

Abilities
The Tenya OctoPurps come withSpecial Saver as the primaryability when purchased from a shop or ordered fromMurch. When purchased fromSplatNet 3, they come with any other primary ability normally available to Shoes. As a 2-star item, the Tenya OctoPurps come with three additional slots for secondary abilities. The star level may be increased withSuper Sea Snails for 5 (third), 10 (fourth), or 20 (fifth) Super Sea Snails per star, or by purchasing additional copies of them from Crush Station for 50,000 (third), 100,000 (fourth), or 200,000 (fifth) Cash per star. Increasing the star level beyond 2 stars will increase the gear experience gained by a cumulative 3.333…% up to 10% additional experience at 5-star level. Sincethey are made by theTentatekgear brand, they have a higher chance of rollingInk Recovery Up and a lower chance of rollingQuick Super Jump to fill their secondary ability slots.
