Style Savvy(NA)/Style Boutique(EU/OC) is a series of fashion simulation video games developed bysyn Sophia and published byNintendo. The series' gameplay revolves arounddress-up and business simulation.
TwoNintendo 3DS installments in the series featureSplatoon-themed items andSplatoon seriesamiibo compatibility.
Style Savvy: Fashion Forward
Style Savvy: Fashion Forward(NA)/Nintendo presents: New Style Boutique 2 – Fashion Forward(EU/OC) is a Nintendo 3DS game released in 2015 in most regions except North America, where the game released in 2016. It is the third game released in theStyle Savvy series. Players assume the role of a young woman who slips into a doll-sized city and begins running a fashion boutique alongside a woman named Sophie.
The game features a day-night cycle based on the 3DS'real-time clock features. The main gameplay loop consists of stocking up on clothing for the boutique, advertising the boutique to potential customers and selling clothing and makeovers to customers via a dress-up menu. Players are additionally able to dress-up and give makeovers to their player character.
Splatoon series amiibo compatibility
Exclusively in the North American and European/Oceanianregional versions of the game,[1] scanning a compatibleSplatoon seriesamiibo generates a customer character based on the Mii registered as the amiibo's owner wearing a pair of Inky Leggings. These customers will randomly wear one of five[2] variants of the Inky Leggings; each variant is tied to one pre-set outfit, preferred style and set of dialogue.
Customers generated in this way are automatically sent to the player's boutique, where they will request a full outfit to match their Inky Leggings according to their related preferred style. These customers will randomly have a budget of $/£/€250, $/£/€350 or $/£/€500. If the player successfully fulfills their request, the customer gifts them a pair of the variant of Inky Leggings they are currently wearing. If the player does not score full style points during the transaction, the customer will still complete the purchase but not gift a pair of leggings. The gifted Inky Leggings cannot be sold to customers; only the player can wear them via accessing their wardrobe.
The Inky Leggings items are part of the Purple Moon brand, which is associated withcosplay items. The Inky Leggings are not available for sale at the Purple Moon store in the Exhibition Hall, and are thus amiibo exclusive.

SixSplatoon-themed sporty items were released as free downloadable content exclusively for the game's Japan and Europe/Oceaniaregions.[3][4] This DLC was released on28 May 2015 for the Japan region[4] and on18 January 2016 for the Europe/Oceania region.[5]
These items cannot be sold to customers; only the player can wear them via accessing their wardrobe.[6]

Style Savvy: Styling Star
Style Savvy: Styling Star(NA)/Nintendo presents: New Style Boutique 3 – Styling Star(EU/OC) is a Nintendo 3DS game released in 2017. It is the fourth game in the series. Players assume the role of a young woman who has abruptly inherited a fashion boutique from her uncle when moving to a new city, attracting the attention of aspiring idols.
The game returns to a day-night cycle decoupled from the 3DS' real-time clock system and an experience system, referred to in this game as Stylist Rank, both of which are similar to the second game in the series,Style Savvy: Trendsetters(NA)/Nintendo presents: New Style Boutique(EU/OC). Certain unlockables depend on main story quest and/or side quest progression. The game featuresSplatoonamiibo compatibility within its custom clothing design features. Additionally, oneSplatoon-themed clothing item can be purchased for the boutique's stock.
Splatoon amiibo compatibility
Players are able to design their own clothing items via the Design function at their apartment. Scanning certain amiibo via the synonymous phone app unlocks clothing designs and emblems related to each amiibo; the amiibo app is unlocked at Stylist Rank 8.

OtherSplatoon item
The in-game brand Purple Moon distributescosplay-themed fashion items, some of which areamiibo-exclusive items directly carried over fromFashion Forward, or otherwise based on similar items inFashion Forward. No use of amiibo is required to obtain Purple Moon items. A black variant of the Inky Leggings fromFashion Forward with alternate ink coloring is the soleSplatoon-themed item available from Purple Moon.
The player is initially given the option to invite Purple Moon to the Exhibition Hall around Stylist Rank 45 if the customers Molly and Gwen's related plotline has been completed. Purple Moon's Exhibition Hall store is the sole location from which the Inky Leggings can be purchased at $999.90, available randomly as the store's inventory changes daily.
