SplatNet 3 is a companion application forSplatoon 3 created byNintendo andHatena. It is an online service which allows players to view upcomingstages, track personal statistics, interact with friends and order exclusivegear. It features an exclusiveInk Points redemption system calledWandercrust.[1]
Like its predecessor,SplatNet 2, SplatNet 3 is a sub-application of theNintendo Switch App, which requires an activeNintendo Switch Online membership. SplatNet 3 only appears as a sub-application ifSplatoon 3 has been played on aNintendo Switch linked to the same Nintendo Account used with the Nintendo Switch App.
Release History
SplatNet 3 was announced during theSplatoon 3 Direct on10 August 2022. It launched through theNintendo Switch App on9 September 2022, the same day asSplatoon 3's release.
Pages
There are four main tabs, which are always accessible on the bottom of SplatNet 3:Home,Schedule,Battles, andSalmon Run.
Home
This is the home and start-up page after opening SplatNet 3. On the top of the page, a series of changing scrolling tabs advertisesExclusive SplatNet Gear,Freshest Fits,Battle Records, andSalmon Run as well as other tabs that are time specific likeSplatfest or completion specific likeWandercrust. Directly underneath is an option labeledOnline, which displays the Nintendo Switch Online User Icons of the player's currently online friends. Nineteen other labeled page icons appear underneath this, withSplatNet Shop, Freshest Fits, andHistory having larger icons than the other ten.[2]
Shop
TheSplatNet Shop is an online retail service that allows players to order special in-game gear not sold in shops using their in-gamecash. This version of the gear shop hosts theThe Daily Drop, and appears to have a daily stock themed after a particulargear brand. At the bottom of the page, the brand's favored ability is displayed.[2]
After ordering from SplatNet, the player may meetMurch inSplatsville andInkopolis Square[a] orSpyke inInkopolis Plaza to pay for the ordered gear. Unlike ordering gear from another player, gear ordered from SplatNet can be bought immediately and is kept indefinitely until purchased or removed.
Freshest Fits
This feature allows players to view theirFreshest Fits. Players can edit their Freshest Fits and create new ones if they have the space.[3] While viewing a Fit, the player can see the total number ofability points granted by the gear in that Fit.[3]
History
This page is divided into 4 sub-pages. TheSummary page page displays the player'sSplashtag, equippedweapon andgear, the date they started playing, their all-time bestrank, total wins, turf inked, totalbadges, and favorite weapons.[2] TheWeapon Stats page displays a breakdown of the different weapon types the player used across seasons. TheBadges page gives a list of a player's recently earned badges as well as all badges earned by the player. TheX Battle page displays a player'sX Battle results.
X Rankings
This page allows players to view current and pastX Battle leaderboards. Each mode has a separate leaderboard, which is divided into the top 500 players and top wielders of each weapon type.
Challenge
This page allows players to view rules and leaderboards ofChallenge battles. Leaderboards are split into the top 100 teams, duos, and solos. Tapping a user on the leaderboard displays the player's Splashtag and weapon.
Wandercrust

Wandercrust is a new milestone system where the player can supportCrusty Sean on a trip and earn rewards frominking turf during battles, including special wallpapers for their smart device.[2] A similar functionality was present inSplatNet 2.
Catalog
This page provides access to the currentcatalog and the player's progress in it.
Album
This page is related to the in-gamePhoto Mode. 20 photos can be stored for up to 3 months.
Tournaments
This page provides access to theTournament Manager, used to facilitate easier organization of tournaments usingPrivate Battles.
Side Order
This page shows the player'sSide Order information, including previous runs,color chip usage,Palettes, and alternate, scaled-down versions of theColor-Chip Collection andJelleton Field Guide. If the player has not begunSide Order (including if they do not own theSplatoon 3: Expansion Pass), it instead shows artwork ofAgent 8 and thePearl Drone.

Weapons
This page shows the player'sweapon stats, such as the number of wins,turf inked, andfreshness, as well as the weapon's information, like itssub andspecial weapon. A similar functionality was present in SplatNet 2.
Stages
This page shows the player'sstage stats, including recently played stages and win percentages. A similar functionality was present in SplatNet 2.
Splatfest
If a Splatfest has been announced byDeep Cut, a Splatfest banner is showcased on the homepage. The player can view the teams for the currentSplatfest, and plan to vote for a team. Players can also see what teams their friends have voted for or plan to vote for. Splatfest stats can be viewed after it ends by going to the player's previous Splatfests.
Work
This page shows the player'sSalmon Run Next Wave high scores per stage, previousBig Run results andEggstra Work results.
Starting from30 November 2023, this page also shows the number ofBoss Salmonids andKing Salmonids defeated under the "Opponents Splatted" section.
Story Mode
This page shows the player's stats forSplatoon 3'sStory mode, including level clear times and percentage of missions cleared. A similar functionality was present in SplatNet 2.Special wallpapers can be earned as rewards for 100% exploration, and for clearing the story.
View Replays
This page is related to the battle replays accessed in-game at theLobby Terminal. 50 replays can be stored for up to 30 days.
Room Creation
Allows the player to create a room that can be joined by friends through the Friends menu. This feature is unique as it generates a URL that can be shared to allow people who aren't friends with the player to join the room. Voice chat cannot be used when generating a room with this feature, and the room closes automatically after 30 minutes.
QR Code Reader
TheQR Code Reader allows users to "scan specific real-world QR codes to get special rewards," and states that "detailed information about QR code locations will be announced in the future."[4]
From within the QR Code Reader section,Splatoon 3QR codes can be scanned with the "Use your smartphone's camera" option, or by saving the QR code to the phone and loading it with the "Scan a QR Code from a saved image" option.
Settings
This page provides access to app settings.
Schedule
This tab shows the current and upcomingRegular Battle,Anarchy Battle, andSalmon Run Next Wave[4]map andmode schedules for the next 24 hours. A similar functionality was present in SplatNet 2.
Battles
On this tab, detailed stats from the player's last fifty battles are displayed. At the top, the player's current win ratio and average splats, deaths, and specials are displayed. Further down is a detailed list of battles showing if the player won or lost, thestage, how manypoints they had, and whatweapon they used, as well as the same match information for other players in the match. The list of battles is divided by whatmode was played. Unlike inSplatoon 2, this information is also viewable in-game instead of exclusively available in SplatNet.[2] Furthermore, players can anonymize other player names if they want to share the battle stats by tapping on the top of the battle where the player has won or lost.
Salmon Run
This tab shows the player'sSalmon Run Next Wave stats and shift information, as well as detailed stats from the player's last fifty jobs. A similar functionality was present in SplatNet 2.

The credits are found in the Settings menu. SplatNet 3 was developed byHatena and published byNintendo. Every staff member is listed in the credits alongside the icon of their favoriteweapon.

Widgets
SplatNet 3 includes widgets which can be placed on the home screen of the user's smart device to constantly display information without the need to open the application. These widgets display the currentSplatoon 3stage rotations, recently saved photo album screenshots, a list of previously completed matches as seen in thelobby menu and the player's most recentgear configuration. Widget availablity varies depending on if the user's smart device runs Android or iOS.
Widgets can be added to a device's home screen via the following methods:
- For Android devices, tapping and holding the Nintendo Switch App's home screen icon shows the "widgets" popup. From there widgets can be added and configured.
- For iOS devices, tapping and holding empty space in the home screen shows a plus sign in the upper right-hand corner from which the widget menu can be opened. Locating the Nintendo Switch App section in the widget menu allows the configuration of SplatNet 3 widgets.
