Shella Fresh has guitar equipment strewn around and shoe boxes everywhere. Some of the shoes are on shelves, which appear to be skateboards suspended by some chains.
Description
Shella Fresh sells shoes that can be purchased withcash, which come with their default primaryability, default number of ability slot(s) (Splatoon 2) orstar power (Splatoon 3), no experience, and empty secondary ability slot(s).
There are six (Splatoon 2) or nine (Splatoon 3) unique shoe items at a time, which are randomly chosen among eligible items and cycle at midnight UTC. InSplatoon 3, Shella Fresh shares its daily stock withCrush Station andShrimp Kicks: purchasing an item in one of the shoe shops removes it from other shoe shops.
The availability of shop gear by initial star power is based on the player'slevel. InSplatoon 3, gear items exclusive to thecatalog need to be obtained from it before they start appearing in Shella Fresh.
InSplatoon 3, gear items in shops are grouped to (1) returning gear from previous games and (2) gear introduced inSplatoon 3.[2]
Whether owned items can be repurchased from Shella Fresh differs between games:
InSplatoon 2, repeat purchases can only be done if the owned duplicate has a non-default primary ability i.e., originated fromSplatNet Gear Shop. Otherwise, they are labeled as "Owned" and cannot be purchased.
Repeat purchases cost the same as buying it for the first time from Shella Fresh.
Repeat purchases will fully replace the owned item, resetting all its abilities to their default state (default primary ability, no secondary abilities).
Items that can be repurchased have a gray background (as with "Owned" and unaffordable items) and a lime loop icon on the top-left corner.
There is no limit on how many times a specific item can be purchased.
InSplatoon 3, each gear item can only be bought once per day, but owned items can be repurchased, which gives the following options:
Replacing the owned item with its brand new duplicate (with default primaryability, defaultstar power, and empty secondary ability slots), with the same price as buying it for the first time from Shella Fresh.
Upgrading the owned item's star power to the next one, which costscash depending on its star power.

Pressing zooms in on the character's feet, allowing for a closer look at the shoes.
