See-an-Enemy HUD
TheSee-an-Enemy HUD is a piece ofheadgear inSplatoon 3.
InSplatoon 3, it is a 0-, 1-, or 2-star item produced byGrizzco and comes with a random primaryability generated when it is received. It is only available as a reward fromSalmon Run Next Wave, first as the monthly gear for July 2023, and later in a Pink Capsule. It cannot be ordered throughMurch orSpyke.
Appearance
The See-an-Enemy HUD is a visor paired with headphones. The lens changes to match the complementary color of the wearer'sink. The visor flashes with different images, with a targeting reticle.

Abilities
The See-an-Enemy HUD comes with a random primaryability that can also appear as secondary abilities, which prevents the wearer from havingComeback,Last-Ditch Effort,Opening Gambit, orTenacity as they are exclusive toHeadgear and cannot appear as secondary abilities. This primary ability is assigned randomly when the item is received. The See-an-Enemy HUD may appear as a 0-star item with one additional slot for secondary abilities, a 1-star item with two additional slots for secondary abilities, or a 2-star item with three additional slots for secondary abilities. The star level may be increased withSuper Sea Snails for 10 (fourth) or 20 (fifth) Super Sea Snails per star. Increasing the star level beyond 2 stars will increase the gear experience gained by a cumulative 3.333…% up to 10% additional experience at 5-star level. Sinceit is made by theGrizzcogear brand, it has equal chances to roll any secondary ability.

Etymology
See-an-Enemy is a pun on "sea anemone," a group of aquatic animals. HUD stands forhead-up display.
