Appearance
The Red Cuttlegear LS is a red long-sleeved shirt with a black logo in the middle. The logo resembles that of a black 8-ball, with its 8 text straight and matching the red of the shirt. Similar to theOcto Tee, underneath the logo reads OCTOPUS in blackInkling. The sleeves puff out slightly at the wrists. The eight's logos are line-up vertically to the left sleeve. On the back has black Inkling Sign text with Cuttlegear's patch on.

The Red Cuttlegear LS comes withBomb Defense Up DX as the primaryability when purchased from a shop or ordered fromMurch. When purchased fromSplatNet 2, it comes with any other primary ability normally available to Clothing (with the exception of Ability Doubler). As a 2-star item, the Red Cuttlegear LS comes with two additional slots for secondary abilities, which may be increased to a maximum of three slots with aSuper Sea Snail for each slot. Sinceit is made by theCuttlegeargear brand, it has equal chances to roll any secondary ability.

As a 1-star item, the Red Cuttlegear LS comes with two additional slots for secondary abilities. The star level may be increased withSuper Sea Snails for 1 (second), 5 (third), 10 (fourth), or 20 (fifth) Super Sea Snails per star. Increasing the star level to 2 stars will add another secondary ability slot for a total of three slots. Increasing the star level beyond 2 stars will increase the gear experience gained by a cumulative 3.333…% up to 10% additional experience at 5-star level. Sinceit is made by theCuttlegeargear brand, it has equal chances to roll any secondary ability.
