Appearance
The Red 3-Straps are a pair of flattish shoes with three thick Velcro straps instead of laces and short, blue-gray socks worn underneath. They are mostly red, with a white stripe toward the bottom and a white zig-zag pattern on both sides. On the topmost strap is the Splash Mob logo in white. The sole has a red stripe going around the entire shoe.

The Red 3-Straps come withInk Resistance Up as the primaryability, which, being exclusive to the main slot ofShoes, prevents the wearer from also havingBomb Sniffer orStealth Jump. As a 1-star item, the Red 3-Straps come with one additional slot for secondary abilities, which may be increased to a maximum of three slots with aSuper Sea Snail or 30,000 cash for each slot. Sincethey are made by theSplash Mobgear brand, they have a higher chance of rollingInk Saver (Main) and a lower chance of rollingRun Speed Up to fill their secondary ability slot.

The Red 3-Straps come withInk Resistance Up as the primaryability when purchased from a shop or ordered fromMurch. When purchased fromSplatNet 3, they come with any other primary ability normally available to Shoes. As a 0-star item, the Red 3-Straps come with one additional slot for secondaryabilities. The star level may be increased withSuper Sea Snails for 1 (first), 1 (second), 5 (third), 10 (fourth), or 20 (fifth) Super Sea Snails per star, or by purchasing additional copies of them from Crush Station for 10,000 (first), 30,000 (second), 50,000 (third), 100,000 (fourth), or 200,000 (fifth) Cash per star. Increasing the star level to 1 or 2 stars will add a secondary ability slot per level, up to a maximum of three slots. Increasing the star level beyond 2 stars will increase the gear experience gained by a cumulative 3.333…% up to 10% additional experience at 5-star level. Sincethey are made by theSplash Mobgear brand, they have a higher chance of rollingInk Saver (Main) and a lower chance of rollingRun Speed Up to fill their secondary ability slots.
