Appearance
The Party Hard Hat is a Viking helmet in the style that is typically portrayed in popular culture, though it is not historically accurate. The helmet is silver with a golden trim. The horns are black with the left one glued with tape stuck in a slapdash manner. On the helmet, various stickers are placed: many display theSquidForce logo, alongside others depicting theAnarchy Battle logo,Team Chaos's logo, and a variation of the Forge logo. Below the horns are two dirty-orange squid-shaped banners. The helmet comes with a pair of glasses with tinted lenses and is colored relating to the player's ink color.
When displayed in a locker inSplatoon 3, this gear is placed on a black mannequin head.

Abilities
The Party Hard Hat comes withQuick Super Jump as the primaryability when purchased from a shop or ordered fromMurch. When purchased fromSplatNet 3, it comes with any other primary ability normally available to Headgear. As a 2-star item, the Party Hard Hat comes with three additional slots for secondary abilities. The star level may be increased withSuper Sea Snails for 5 (third), 10 (fourth), or 20 (fifth) Super Sea Snails per star, or by purchasing additional copies of it from Naut Couture for 50,000 (third), 100,000 (fourth), or 200,000 (fifth) Cash per star. Increasing the star level beyond 2 stars will increase the gear experience gained by a cumulative 3.333…% up to 10% additional experience at 5-star level. Sinceit is made by theForgegear brand, it has a higher chance of rollingSpecial Power Up and a lower chance of rollingInk Saver (Sub) to fill its secondary ability slots.
