Order Sector

TheOrder Sector[1] is a mysterious world within theMemverse built of its own rules.[2] It is a prototype VR simulation created by Marina and contains a colorless version ofInkopolis Square featuring theSpire of Order;Agent 8 wakes up within it during the events ofSide Order.
It is inhabited by nodes resembling various sea creatures.
Description
The Order Sector resembles an off-whiteInkopolis Square drained of color in a state of disrepair, covered in bleached coral. Various embellishments decorate this empty Square:Matrix-style code rain cascades in single lines, gray snake-shaped lines andgreebled cubes suddenly appear then disappear suspended in air and white specks can be seen falling towards the ground, coating it. The sky seen in the Order Sector is coral pink, and in place ofDeca Tower is theSpire of Order.
A locker from whichAgent 8 can access differentPalettes and other rewards can be found within the Order Sector.
Cipher's Siftings can also be found in the Order Sector, where Agent 8 can purchase collectibles forPrlz.[3]
The snow-like substance falling from the sky resemblingBaculogypsina sphaerulata is actually ash emitted from the the Spire of Order, as the Spire functions as a factory where memory cubes are generated, grayscaled, and ultimately incinerated.[4]
While within the Order Sector,Θrder Square: Subjug8 or one of its other versions plays depending on the player's progress through the Spire of Order. The various objects that appear floating above the Order Sector add various sounds to the background music when they appear.
Inhabitants
Various nodes[4] represented in the Memverse as creatures resemblingjellyfish, shrimp, sea angels and other sea creatures wearing textured white clothing inhabit the Order Sector. They appear to not be interested in much[5] but are capable of building complicated, colossal structures.[1]
The inhabitants of the Order Sector bear some similarities to thedenizens of the deep fromOcto Expansion. Almost all inhabitants of the Order Sector wear at least one metal ring somewhere on their body, which are used to recieve inputs from "external sources". By receiving these inputs and carrying out their assigned tasks, they "construct the world of order."[6]
A notable inhabitant of the Order Sector isCipher, a node appearing as a lucifer prawn that runsCipher's Siftings. It is one of few residents of the Order Sector with communication capabilities and is interested in Agent 8.[3]

Trivia
- The completely white appearance of the Order Sector (and especially the coral scattered throughout) appears to be an intentional reference to the real-world phenomenon ofcoral bleaching.
- The Order Sector more closely resembles Inkopolis Square as it appears inSplatoon 2, with a larger number of smaller posters on the walls of the news studio and no train station in the back.
- The 3D audio effects that accompanyΘrder Square: Subjug8 or one of its other versions referenceSplatoon 2's lobby theme,Dubble Bath (DIY Remix).
Etymology
Order refers to Team Order, theSplatfest team led byMarina that lost theFinal Fest inSplatoon 2. Asector is a designated section of a larger whole; in computer science adisk sector refers to a portion of adisk.
