TheOctodiver is a type ofOctarian enemy and a variant of theOctotrooper,Twintacle Octotrooper, andOctohopper.

Description

Octodivers are almost identical to Octotroopers or Twintacle Octotroopers in design, albeit wearing a snorkel. They hide inOctarianink, and when the player approaches them, they quickly surface from the ink and begin firing. They are able to dive into their own ink when under attack or too far away from their target as a means of defense. Octodivers have multiple variants, with some being based on Octotroopers, some on Twintacle Octotroopers, and (inSplatoon 3) some on Octohoppers; their attacking behavior is identical to the Octarian they are based on, aside from their added ability to hide in ink. InSplatoon 2 andSplatoon 3, after they dive into their own ink, ink patterns can be seen as where they last submerged.
