Credits

Thecredits appear in all games in theSplatoon series. They display the names of the staff who made the respective games.

Splatoon

InSplatoon, the staff credits are automatically seen after a special segment ofInkopolis News followingDJ Octavio's defeat in the missionEnter the Octobot King!. They can be replayed at any time after by pressing
in front of the floating credits board that appears oppositeCap'n Cuttlefish inOcto Valley.
During the credits, staff names and various pieces of art can be revealed byink from an unseenshooter, aimed with
or
and fired with
, or by usingBurst Bombs (that appear to be the regular multiplayer bombs instead of the specialAgent 3 version) with
that uses a different color ink. The ink changes color over time. Balloons appear that can be popped, andSquee-Gs that clean ink appear. It ends with a copyright statement that is visible regardless of ink, followed by a thank-you message with feminine and masculine versions of Agent 3, one on each side. Pressing
will then end the credits. On subsequent viewings via the credits board, they can be ended at any time with
.
TheSquid Sisters' songMaritime Memory plays during the credits.
Splatoon 2

InSplatoon 2, the staff credits are also automatically seen after a special segment ofInkopolis News airs after defeatingOcto Canyon's final boss in the missionBomb Rush Blush. Off the Hook takes song requests after celebratingCallie's return, and theSquid Sisters' new singleFresh Start is selected after being requested by someone called "Freshly Fried Boy". As such,Fresh Start plays in the credits. The credits can be viewed again at any time inTentakeel Outpost by pressing in front of a TV screen thatMarie hadSheldon install so thatAgent 4 could listen toFresh Start again. This screen is situated near the manhole leading back toInkopolis Square.
The credits function and control identically to the first game's, where the player can shoot ink to reveal staff names and art. The ink also gradually changes color over time, and the ink fromBurst Bombs is of a different color from other ink. The names of the developers are also stylized and contain various references. Just before ending, after all the names have been shown, there is a shot of feminineAgent 4 with a pair ofdualies, followed by the closing art of Callie, Marie, and DJ Octavio sitting on top of a truck withSheldon at the bottom. At this point, the colors of the fired ink and the Burst Bombs become pink and green respectively, which are the Squid Sisters' colors as well as the primary ink colors ofSplatoon 2.
SplatNet 2

The credits are found at the bottom of the Home page.SplatNet 2 was developed byHatena and published byNintendo. Every staff member is listed in the credits alongside the icon of their favoriteweapon.
Octo Expansion

Splatoon 2's DLC campaign,Octo Expansion, features its own credits, which are seen immediately after defeating the final boss,Commander Tartar, inTurf War. Unlike the previous staff credits, the player cannot shoot ink or interact with the credits. Instead, characters are seen watching the credits, which are projected fromAgent 8'sCQ-80, while they sit and stand on platforms held by a helicopter over the sea aroundInkopolis. The sun rises in the background and each character moves slightly throughout the credits, such as Pearl and Marina talking to each other or Agent 8 looking over to the clearing sun after the clouds obscured it. The credits can be viewed again atCentral Station by going over to the broken blender and having Agent 8 reminiscing about the event by choosing "Remember the light", which directly cuts to the credits. The other option, "Remember the fight", still shows the credits after the player defeats the final boss.
Off the Hook's songInto the Light plays during these credits.
Splatoon 3

InSplatoon 3, the credits once again play automatically after a special news broadcast, being seen after theAnarchy Splatcast that plays after clearingReturn of the Mammalians.Deep Cut decide to play the Squid Sisters' songWave Goodbye after the return of theGreat Zapfish (while also realizing that they are the true identities of Agents 1 and 2), and therefore this plays during these credits. The credits can be viewed again at Squid Sisters Camp onFuture Utopia Island by inspecting theMr. Grizz statue, which can also be used to replay theAlterna Space Center finale sequence.
Like in the previous games' main stories, the credits include a reticle for shooting multicolored ink, but this simply shoots it into space in the background behind the scrolling credits themselves, which can not otherwise be interacted with.
SplatNet 3

The credits are found in the Settings menu.SplatNet 3 was developed byHatena and published byNintendo. Like in SplatNet 2, every staff member is listed in the credits alongside the icon of their favoriteweapon.
Splatoon 3: Expansion Pass
The credits for the fullSplatoon 3: Expansion Pass play inSide Order after clearing 30F of theSpire of Order for the first time. Like theOcto Expansion credits, these credits are not interactable and are displayed in the sky asAgent 8,Off the Hook, andAcht ascend in a glass elevator. During the credits,#47 onward by Dedf1sh feat. Off the Hook plays, with the track name announced afterward in a specialAnarchy Splatcast broadcast that states it was a request from "SplatsvilleRulz".
The credits can be viewed again in thefoyer of the Spire of Order by inspecting a glass box to the right of the elevator containing a rainbowKiller Wail speaker, which can also be used to replay the final phase of thefinal boss battle and (as ofversion 7.1.0) the first time inInkopolis Square.

Trivia
- Among the artwork featured in the credits forSplatoon 2 and theOcto Expansion is art ofHisashi Nogami, the producer of theSplatoon series, striking a pose that he assumed during the presentations that officially revealed the game and the DLC respectively. The former has him making a "2" forSplatoon 2, and the latter resembles an "8" for theOcto Expansion.
