| “ | Earn Catalog Points in battle or on the job to get your hands on inkredible items! | ” |
Thecatalog is an item inSplatoon 3 that can be obtained fromHarmony atHotlantis. It allows the player to unlock various seasonal rewards, primarily forcustomization.
Description
The catalog is a free in-game seasonal collection of rewards the player can unlock through accumulating points in-game. It can be received fromHotlantis upon reaching level 4. Catalog rewards include exclusiveemotes, gear, locker room items, andSplashtagbanners, titles, andbadges,[1] as well asfood tickets andability chunks.[1][2]
Catalog Points
With a catalog, the player can accumulate Catalog Points to increase its level. Each level requires 9,500 Catalog Points. When the player earns experience from online battles, they also receive the same amount of Catalog Points (note that any food ticket multiplier does not affect Catalog Points gained, however). Catalog Points can also be earned through achievements. Players can also receive Catalog Points from completing job shifts inSalmon Run Next Wave: each successfully cleared wave, includingXtrawaves, gives 300 Catalog Points, up to a maximum of 1,200 Catalog Points per shift (1,500 during 5-wave-longEggstra Work shifts).
Some actions can lead to earning bonus Catalog Points. Winning a battle such as aTurf War or successfully clearing a shift in Salmon Run Next Wave for the first time in a day will award a flat 7,500 Catalog Points as a "First Win/Clear of the Day!" bonus (unaffected by any potential point multipliers). ForAnarchy Battles, there is a knockout bonus that awards 2,500 Catalog Points. Catalog Points received after Splatfest Battles orBig Run shifts are multiplied by 1.2×, and Catalog Points earned during the final week of a season (referred to as the 'Closeout Bonus') are multiplied by 1.5x[a].
If the player raises their catalog level during aSplatfest Sneak Peek, they receive aconch shell to spend on theShell-Out Machine.[3]
