Appearance
The Athletic Arrows are multi-colored sneakers with a pair of large dark gray loops in front of and behind the ankle. They are covered in various patterns in white, yellow, dark green, and burgundy; some of these patterns are in an arrow shape, hence the name. At the top of the tongue is a smallTakoroka logo in white on a dark gray background. It has a color scheme similar to that of theTakoroka Jersey.

Abilities
The Athletic Arrows come withObject Shredder as the primaryability when purchased from a shop or ordered fromMurch, which, being exclusive to the main slot ofShoes, prevents the wearer from also havingDrop Roller orStealth Jump. When purchased fromSplatNet 2, they come with any other primary ability normally available to Shoes. As a 1-star item, the Athletic Arrows come with one additional slot for secondary abilities, which may be increased to a maximum of three slots with aSuper Sea Snail for each slot. Sincethey are made by theTakorokagear brand, they have a higher chance of rollingSpecial Charge Up and a lower chance of rollingSpecial Power Up to fill their secondary ability slot.

When purchased fromSplatNet 3, they come with any other primary ability normally available to Shoes. As a 0-star item, the Athletic Arrows come with one additional slot for secondaryabilities. The star level may be increased withSuper Sea Snails for 1 (first), 1 (second), 5 (third), 10 (fourth), or 20 (fifth) Super Sea Snails per star, or by purchasing additional copies of them from Crush Station for 10,000 (first), 30,000 (second), 50,000 (third), 100,000 (fourth), or 200,000 (fifth) Cash per star. Increasing the star level to 1 or 2 stars will add a secondary ability slot per level, up to a maximum of three slots. Increasing the star level beyond 2 stars will increase the gear experience gained by a cumulative 3.333…% up to 10% additional experience at 5-star level. Sincethey are made by theTakorokagear brand, they have a higher chance of rollingSpecial Charge Up and a lower chance of rollingSpecial Power Up to fill their secondary ability slots.
