Appearance
The Apex Sweater is a colorful knitted sweater inspired by the 80's hippie culture, most notably the psychedelic design. The knit itself, along with its collar, cuffs and hem, is black, covered with vibrantly colored stripes of various thickness and design, placed in an asymmetric manner. The most characteristic element is a pair of yellow sharks visible in the middle, with an illusion of being obscured by waves. Between the cuffs and sleeves, pieces resembling petals can be found, sewn in order typical for flowers. A thin seam cuts the collar in unequal halfs.
The sweater can also be adjusted into an oversized version with theAdjust Gear feature.

The Apex Sweater comes withThermal Ink as the primaryability when purchased from a shop or ordered fromMurch, which, being exclusive to the main slot ofClothing, prevents the wearer from also havingAbility Doubler,Haunt,Ninja Squid, orRespawn Punisher. When purchased fromSplatNet 3, it comes with any other primary ability normally available to Clothing (with the exception of Ability Doubler). As a 2-star item, the Apex Sweater comes with three additional slots for secondary abilities. The star level may be increased withSuper Sea Snails for 5 (third), 10 (fourth), or 20 (fifth) Super Sea Snails per star, or by purchasing additional copies of it from Man-o'-Wardrobe for 50,000 (third), 100,000 (fourth), or 200,000 (fifth) Cash per star. Increasing the star level beyond 2 stars will increase the gear experience gained by a cumulative 3.333…% up to 10% additional experience at 5-star level. Sinceit is made by theKrak-Ongear brand, it has a higher chance of rollingSwim Speed Up and a lower chance of rollingSub Resistance Up to fill its secondary ability slots.
