The followingReturn of the Mammalians level serves as a tutorial for the Angle Shooter:

Description

The Angle Shooter is a fast-moving projectile that travels in a straight line and bounces off any surface exceptgrating, leaving behind a large puddle ofink on each bounce, until it reaches its maximum travel distance or hits an enemy. The projectile briefly leaves behind a team-colored trail. Enemies directly hit by the Angle Shooter are damaged, and those that are hit or touch its lingering trail aremarked.

The projectile is aimed and fired at a lower angle than the usual crosshair, making it somewhat unintuitive to aim directly, especially from below.

When bouncing off of horizontal surfaces such as floors, the projectile's exit angle is much shallower than its entry angle - the projectile stays close to the floor for longer. This makes the projectile more likely to connect with an enemy following a bounce off the floor, and allows much more freedom with aiming from high up.

Quotes

Asub weapon that fires straight forward and leaves a line in its path. Opponents that are hit directly will take damage, and those that touch the remaining line will be marked. When a shot hits a solid surface, it will bounce off of it and continue in a straight line.
— In-game description
Squid Research Lab coming to you directly with a report about a newsub weapon that's as direct as they come. TheAngle Shooter launches a perfectly straight line far into the distance and will reflect off any surfaces it encounters. It's more exciting than it sounds - trust us!

Imagine bouncing an Angle Shooter off the walls of a narrow corridor, pinning down a rival. If they touch the line, they take damage... so while they hesitate, you pounce with your heavymain weapon andink 'em up good! Take that, Gary! I mean... if your rival's name is Gary.

TheAngle Shooter is as direct as they come. This new sub-weapon shoots a straight line into the distance that bounces off surfaces. Enemies who touch the line are marked and take damage, helping you pin them down to splat with your main weapon!
