An entire crew made up of Purdue staff members, students, and alumni will be flying on a 2027Virgin Galactic flight to conduct microgravity research. The five-person crew is supported by grants through NASA, public donations, and alumni personally purchasing their seats.

Its ticket holders wait list to fly is over 800 long, with only four available seats, that’s a lot of flying just to get through existing customers and more are on the way.
