NASA Awards Launch Services Contract for Dragonfly Mission

NASA has selectedSpaceX to provide launch services for theDragonfly mission, a rotorcraft lander mission under NASA’s New Frontiers Program, designed to exploreSaturn’s moonTitan. The mission will sample materials and determine surface composition in different geologic settings, advancing our search for the building blocks of life.

Because of budget deals on the hill,NASA is working on how to deal with limited budget increases over the next few years. One mission that will suffer from that is Dragonfly, who is seeing a delay to an important review to set a launch timeline and pricing.
