John Forbes Kerry (*11. december1943,Aurora,Colorado,USA) je bývalý americký minister zahraničných vecí asenátor za štátMassachusetts.
V roku2004 neúspešne kandidoval na úradprezidenta ako kandidátDemokratickej strany. Porazil ho prezident USAGeorge W. Bush.[1]
Do roku 2013 bolsenátor za štátMassachusetts. V roku 2013 hoBarack Obama vybral za ministra zahraničných vecí (Secretary of State). Vo funkcii pôsobil do roku 2017.[2]
Koncom novembra 2020 zvolený prezidentJoe Biden oznámil, že Kerry bude v jeho kabinete zastávať špeciálnym vyslancom pre boj protiklimatickej zmene. V apríli 2016 práve Kerry za Spojené štáty podpísalParížsku dohodu. Špeciálny vyslanec bude po prvý krát členom Rady pre národnú bezpečnosť. Kerry bude podliehať priamo prezidentovi.[2]
