Xcode isApple's set ofprograms or tools used to help write computer programs. It includes the tools for designing, coding the program, and fixing problems. This type of software is called anintegrated development environment (or IDE). It means it has most of the tools necessary to write new programs. It currently supports Apple'sSwift,Java,Python,AppleScript,C,Ruby, and others.
The first version of Xcode was released by Apple in 2003. Xcode is only onmacOS. Xcode is used to make software for macOS,iOS,watchOS,tvOS andvisionOS.
