Willis Allison Carto (July 17, 1926 – October 26, 2015) was a knownAmerican figure on theAmerican far right. He called himself aJeffersonian andpopulist, but was known for his promotion ofconspiracy theories andHolocaust denial.[1][2][3][4]
Carto was born inFort Wayne, Indiana.
Carto was thought to be one of America's most influential political racial theorists through theLiberty Lobby and successor organizations which he helped create. Carto ran a group supportingsegregationistGeorge Wallace's 1968 presidential campaign which formed the basis for theNational Youth Alliance which promotedFrancis Parker Yockey's political philosophy.
Carto died fromcardiac arrest inVirginia at the age of 89.[5]
