Sir William Arthur Lewis (January 23, 1915 – June 15, 1991) was aSaint Lucianeconomist. He was the James Madison Professor of Political Economy atPrinceton University.[2] Lewis was known for his works abouteconomic development. In 1979, he won theNobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences.
