Tennessee's 1st congressional district is the congressional district for northeastTennessee.
It covers all ofCarter,Cocke,Greene,Hamblen,Hancock,Hawkins,Johnson,Sullivan,Unicoi,Washington, andSevier counties, as well as parts ofJefferson County.
With aCook Partisan Voting Index rating of R+29, it is the most Republican district in Tennessee and the third most Republican in the country.[4]
