TheTehran Conference (codenamedEureka[1]) was a meeting ofJoseph Stalin,Franklin D. Roosevelt, andWinston Churchill from 28 November to 1 December 1943. It was held at the Soviet Union's embassy atTehran inIran. It was the first of theWorld War II conferences of the "Big Three"Allied leaders (theSoviet Union, theUnited States, and theUnited Kingdom).

The main result of the Tehran Conference was theWestern Allies' commitment to open asecond front againstNazi Germany. The conference also addressed the Big Three Allies' relations withTurkey andIran, operations inYugoslavia and againstJapan.
