Tamworth is a city in the New England region ofNew South Wales,Australia. It has a population of just over 42,000. Tamworth is famous for its country music festival held every year inJanuary. It's the second biggestcountry music festival in the world. It was the first city in theSouthern Hemisphere to have electric street lights. There arepassenger trains to and from Sydney or Armidale andbuses to and from Inverell.[2]
