TheJapanese Super Formula Championship is aformula racingchampionship held mainly inJapan. It is the most important single-seater racing championship in Japan andAsia as a whole.[1] The series is controlled by theJapan Automobile Federation (JAF) and managed by Japan Race Promotion (JRP).As of 2024[update], Super Formula is the second fastest racing championship in the world, afterFormula One.[2] The series relies onHonda andToyota for engines, which would cost too much without their help.[1]
