Stanley Plumly

Stanley Plumly (May 23, 1939 – April 11, 2019) was anAmericanpoet. He wrote many poetry collections. He was the director of theUniversity of Maryland, College Park creative writing program. He was very fond ofJohn Keats and many otherBritish poets from theRomantic era. He wrote a book about Keats calledPosthumous Keats, published in 2008.[1]

Plumly was born inBarnesville, Ohio. He grew up inOhio andVirginia.

Plumly died ofmultiple myeloma on April 11, 2019 inFrederick,Maryland. He was 79.[2]
