Aspear thrower is a wooden tool used for throwingspears. It gives the human arm moreleverage to build up the spear'svelocity. This gives the spear moreforce and makes it go faster. Spear throwers were used in many civilisations. It was used by theAztecs, who called it anatlatl. It is also used byAboriginals in Australia, where it has become most widely known as awoomera (theDharuk name for it).[1]
