Sodium manganate is achemical compound. Its chemical formula is Na2MnO4. It containssodium andmanganateions. It is a bright green solid at 25 degrees Celsius atstandard atmosphere (a pressure). It cannot be made by reactingmanganese dioxide withsodium hydroxide, likepotassium manganate is made. It is made by reacting hotsodium hydroxide withsodium permanganate. This releases oxygen and makes sodium manganate. It is more expensive than potassium manganate because it is harder to make.
