Shōan (正安) was aJapanese era (年号,,nengō,, lit. "year name") afterEinin and beforeKengen. The period started in April 1299 and ended in November 1302.[1] During this time, the emperors wereGo-Fushimi-tennō (後伏見天皇) andGo-Nijō-tennō (後二条天皇).[2]
