Senigallia is acomune andseaport inItaly. It is on theAdriaticcoastline, in theprovince of Ancona, in theMarcheregion. It is the second city of the province, after thecapital, by the number of people living there.

It is an importantseaside resort in the Marche region, and is visited every year by many person. Its beach is known asSpiaggia di Velluto (Velvet Beach).

Geography

Senigallia is on theAdriatic Sea, at the mouth of theMisa river. It has an area of 117.77 km2 (45.47 sq mi) and itsaltitude is 5 m (16 ft).

Thecomune borders with the followingcomuniːBelvedere Ostrense,Mondolfo (Province of Pesaro and Urbino),Monte San Vito,Montemarciano,Morro d'Alba,Ostra,Trecastelli.[3]
