Sasaram, also spelled asShahasaram, is a historical city in the Rohtas district ofBiharstate ineasternIndia. The city served as the capital of theSur Empire duringSher Shah Suri's rule over India in the 16th century, and was residence place sub capital of epic monarchSahastrabahu (Kartivirya Arjuna).[1]
