Roy Sydney George Hattersley, Baron Hattersley,PC,FRSL (born 28 December 1932) is a BritishLabourpolitician,author andjournalist. He was born inSheffield,England. He was MP forBirmingham Sparkbrook for 33 years from 1964 to 1997. He wasDeputy Leader of the Labour Party from 1983 to 1992 during theNeil Kinnock leadership.[1]
Hattersley retired from theHouse of Lords on 19 May 2017.[2]
