Rodrigue Gabriel Gilbert (July 1, 1941 – August 22, 2021) was a Canadianprofessionalice hockeyforward. He played his entire career for theNew York Rangers of theNational Hockey League (NHL) from 1960 until 1978. He played right wing on theGAG line. He was honored into theHockey Hall of Fame in 1982. He was the first player in Rangers history to have hisnumber retired. Gilbert was born inMontreal,Quebec.

Gilbert died on August 22, 2021 inNew York City, aged 80.^[1]
