"Rap God" is a 2013hip hop song by theAmericanrapperEminem. It is the third single from his eighth studio albumThe Marshall Mathers LP 2 which was released on November 5, 2013.

Eminem raps 97 words in 15 seconds (an average of 6.5 words per second) in a verse that starts 4:26 into the song. He described this as "supersonic speed":

Uhh, sama lamaa duma lamaa you assuming I'm a human
What I gotta do to get it through to you I'm superhuman
Innovative and I'm made of rubber
So that anything you say is ricocheting off of me and it'll glue to you
I'm devastating, more than ever demonstrating
How to give a motherfuckin' audience a feeling like it's levitating
Never fading, and I know the haters are forever waiting
For the day that they can say I fell off, they'd be celebrating
Cause I know the way to get 'em motivated
I make elevating music, you make elevator music...

— Eminem, "Rap God"[1]

The song has been praised for Eminem's rapping speed and his lyrical ability, however, it was also criticized by left-wing people and the gay community as being "homophobic" due to the lyrics.[2][3][4]

It was ranked #14 onComplex's list of the 50 best songs of 2013 and it was ranked #15 onRolling Stone's list of the 100 best songs of 2013.[5][6]
