Oran (Arabic: وهران - Wahrān,Berber: ⵡⴰⵀⵔⴻⵏ - Wahren) is a city in westernAlgeria, on the coast. In 2010, about 853,000 people were living there.

It is the capital ofOran Province and was established in 903.

Oran is the second biggest city in Algeria afterAlgiers. It is well-known because of its business activities and culture.
