Natsume Sōseki

Natsume Sōseki (夏目 漱石, 9 February 1867 – 9 December 1916), bornNatsume Kin'nosuke (夏目 金之助), was aJapanesenovelist. He is well known around the world for some of thenovels he wrote, likeKokoro,Botchan andI Am a Cat. He was born inTokyo, Japan. Natsume Soseki graduated from theUniversity of Tokyo, and he was to become a school teacher. Also he was a master ofRyūnosuke Akutagawa.

In Japan, many people think he was the greatest writer in recent Japanese history.[1]
