Merrill Anthony "Tony" McPeak (born January 9, 1936) is a retired4-stargeneral in theUnited States Air Force. His final assignment before retirement was as the 14thChief of Staff of the Air Force from 1990 to 1994.
In 1993, McPeak served as ActingSecretary of the Air Force, beforeSheila E. Widnall was appointed by PresidentBill Clinton.[1]
