Themagpie goose (Anseranas semipalmata) is the only livingspecies in thefamily Anseranatidae. It is found in northernAustralia and southernNew Guinea.^[2]

Description

Magpie geese arebirds with black and whiteplumage and yellowish legs. The feet are only partially webbed. Magpie geese eatplants in thewater, as well as on land. Males are larger than females.
