Mads Dittmann Mikkelsen (born 22 November 1965) is aDanish actor. He is best known for his roles in the moviesKing Arthur (2004),Casino Royale (2006),Coco Chanel & Igor Stravinsky (2009),The Hunt (2012) andDoctor Strange andRogue One (both 2016). He also playedHannibal Lecter in theNBC television seriesHannibal (2013–2015).^[1]

Mikkelsen was born inØsterbro,Copenhagen. His older brother,Lars, is also an actor. He married Hanne Jacobsen in 2000. The couple have two children.^[1]
