Keno Province

Keno Province (毛野国,Keno kuni), also known asKenu, was avery old province of Japan before theNara period.[1] Keno was in the area ofTochigi Prefecture[2] andGunma Prefecture.[3]

History

Kōzuke Province andShimotsuke Province were known as Keno before the reforms of theTaihō Code in the early 8th century.[1]
