SaintJude the Apostle was a brother ofJesus. He was also calledJude of James andJude Thaddeus. He is thepatron saint ofArmenia, along withSaint Bartholemew. He is also the patron saint of lost causes and desperate situations.

St. Jude wasmartyred (killed for his beliefs) with another apostle,Simon the Zealot inBeirut,Lebanon, around AD 66 by an axe.[1] In theRoman Catholic church, Jude and Simon'sfeast day is celebrated on 29 October.
