Sir John MillsCBE (bornLewis Ernest Watts Mills; 22 February 1908 – 23 April 2005) was aBritishactor.[1]
He was born inNorth Elmham,Norfolk. His sister was entertainerAnnette Mills (1894–1955).
He wasmarried to actressAileen Raymond (1910-2005) from 1927 until theydivorced in 1941. He was married to actressMary Hayley Bell (1911–2005) from 1941 until his death. The couple had two daughters, actressesJuliet Mills (born 1941) andHayley Mills (born 1946) and a son, Jonathan Mills (born 1949).
Mills wasknighted in 1976. Hisautobiography waspublished in 1980. He died inDenham,Buckinghamshire.[1]
