John ClarkeFRS (born 1942) is a Britishphysicist. He is a Professor Emeritus at theUniversity of California, Berkeley.[1]
In the 1980s, Clarke led a research team, that includedJohn M. Martinis andMichel Devoret.[2] They became known for their discoveries inmacroscopic quantum phenomena insuperconductors. This work is the reason why they won theNobel Prize in Physics in 2025.[2]
