Yuvraj "Raj" Dhesi (born July 19, 1986 inCalgary,Alberta) is anIndian-Canadian professional wrestler. He is best known for working with theWWE under thering nameJinder Mahal. He is a formerWWE Champion,United States Champion and two-time24/7 Champion. He has also worked on the independent circuit under the ring nameTiger Raj Singh. During his first WWE run from 2010 to 2014, Mahal was known for being part of the stable3MB (three-man-band) along withHeath Slater andDrew McIntyre.
On June 12, 2014, Mahal was released from his WWE contract.[1] However, he returned in August of 2016 looking much stronger than when he left. AtWrestleMania 33, he was the last person eliminated from theAndré the Giant MemorialBattle Royal which was won byMojo Rawley. On the April 18, 2017 episode ofSmackDown, he won a #1 contender's six-pack challenge for the WWE Championship and atBacklash, he won the title fromRandy Orton. This made him the first wrestler with family fromIndia to win the title. On April 19, 2024, Mahal was released by WWE a second time.[2]
