International Standard Name Identifier

TheInternational Standard Name Identifier (ISNI) is a 16-digitnumber which uniquelyidentifies people who have contributed to creative works such asbooks,newspapers,music,plays,movies, andtelevision programs. The ISNI Agency runs thedatabase of numbers. It is part of theInternational Organization for Standardization.

The ISNI Agency has public records of over 9.8 million identities. The ISNI database project began in 2011.[1][2][3]
