TheGulf of Finland is a body ofwater that points east from theBaltic Sea withFinland on its north side andEstonia on its south side. Both Finnishcapital Helsinki and Estonian capitalTallinn are at shore of Gulf of Finland. At the bottom of the gulf of Finland isRussia and its most important coast citySt. Petersburg.

The water is less salty in the eastern side of the Gulf. This is because theNeva River flows into the Gulf in the east.
